Crise de la zone euro, guerre commerciale sino-américaine, pandémie de Covid-19, tensions géopolitiques croissantes : l’économie mondiale semble s’enfoncer ces dernières années dans l’incertitude. Depuis la crise économique et financière de 2007-2008, cette succession de chocs a contribué à une transformation substantielle de la globalisation qui, bousculant les dynamiques qui prévalaient jusqu’alors, se voit redéfinie. Ainsi émergent des discours accréditant la thèse qu’une démondialisation serait à l’œuvre.
Les interactions récentes entre les forces économiques et politiques façonnent en effet un paysage international en mutation, dont elles redéfinissent les équilibres et mettent en lumière les défis inédits. Le réajustement des chaînes d’approvisionnement, la relocalisation des industries et les évolutions des alliances économiques et stratégiques esquissent les contours d’une nouvelle géoéconomie qui bat en brèche les fondements de la vision traditionnelle de la mondialisation. Certains aspects jusqu’alors perçus comme vertueux sont dorénavant considérés comme des sources de vulnérabilité potentielles. Ce basculement des relations commerciales internationales et des tendances structurelles établies suscite également des interrogations quant aux nouvelles insécurités qui pourraient en découler.
Quelles sont précisément ces mutations économiques et stratégiques, et comment participent-elles d’une nouvelle configuration de la géoéconomie mondiale ? Quels impacts les incertitudes issues de la reconfiguration des échanges produisent-elles sur les dynamiques économiques, et au-delà, géopolitiques et stratégiques ?
